Charles Fitzgerald CB (c. 1791 – 29 December 1887) was an Irish officer in the Royal Navy and Governor of The Gambia from 1844 until 1847, then Governor of Western Australia from 1848 to 1855. Son of William FitzGerald, 2nd Duke of Leinster, Fitzgerald joined the Royal Navy in March 1809, passed his examination in 1815, and was commissioned in March 1826. The town of Geraldton, Western Australia, was named after him.

Peu après son arrivée en Australie-Occidentale, en 1848, Fitzgerald accompagna Auguste Grégoire lors d'une expédition dans la région de Northampton où Grégoire et son frère avaient découvert du plomb l'année précédente.
