| - La infantesa (en rus: Детство) és la primera obra que publicà Lev Tolstoi. El març del 1851 té la idea d'escriure una gran novel·la autobiogràfica, composta de quatre parts: infantesa és la primera d'una història de quatre èpoques. Aquell mateix any, producte d'una llarga malaltia que va interrompre la seva activitat militar, començà la seva tasca. Acaba la narració el 2 de juliol del 1852 a Piatigorsk i uns dies després envia el manuscrit a Sant Petersburg, a la revista Sovremennik (El Contemporani) signant com L.N.T. on apareix en el seu número 9 amb el títol Història de la meva infantesa, el 6 de setembre del 1852. En marzo de 1851 concibe la idea de escribir una gran novela autobiográfica, compuesta de tres partes: Infancia es la primera de una trilogía (posteriormente se publicó Adolescencia y Juventud). Ese mismo año, producto de una prolongada enfermedad que interrumpió su actividad militar, dio comienzo a su labor. Termina su relato el 2 de julio de 1852 en Piatigorsk y unos días después envía el manuscrito a San Petersburgo, a la revista Sovreménnik (El Contemporáneo), firmando como L.N.T., donde aparece en su número 9 con el título Historia de mi infancia el 6 de septiembre de 1852. Het boek beslaat grotendeels een tijdsbestek van enkele dagen voor en na een jachtpartij. Daarna volgt het vertrek naar oma in Moskou en de terugkomst in Petrowskoje voor de begrafenis van mama. Veel in het Frans gestelde episodes werden vertaald, een enkele Franse zin duikt af en toe op in deze Nederlandse vertaling. (nl)

N. in the November 1852 issue of the popular Russian literary journal The Contemporary. It is the first in a series of three novels, followed by Boyhood and Youth. Published when Tolstoy was just twenty-three years old, the book was an immediate success. It earned Tolstoy notice from other Russian novelists including Ivan Turgenev, who heralded the young Tolstoy as a major up-and-coming figure in Russian literature. (en)
