- 성유 축성 미사(Missa Chrismatis)는 로마 가톨릭교회에서 성주간 목요일 오전에 거행하는 기독교의 미사 형태이다. 이 미사에서 주교는 서에 따라 와 를 축복하고, 를 축성한다. 이날 여러 사정으로 성직자와 백성이 함께 모이기 어려우면 파스카에 가까운 다른 날로 앞당겨 성유 축성 미사를 거행할 수 있다. 주교가 자기 교구 사제단과 공동으로 집전함으로써 주교와 사제들의 일치를 드러낸다. 그러므로 모든 사제는 공동 집전을 하지 않더라도 되도록 이 미사에 참여하여 양형 영성체를 하도록 한다. 또한 교구 사제단의 일치를 드러내고자 주교와 공동 집전하는 사제들은 교구의 여러 지역을 대표하는 사제이어야 한다. 주교는 강론 때에 자기 사제들에게 사제 직무에 충실하도록 촉구하고, 또한 사제품을 받을 때 했던 서약을 공적으로 새롭게 하도록 한다. 라틴 전례의 관습대로 병자 성유는 감사 기도를 마치기 바로 전에 축복하고, 예비 신자 성유의 축복과 축성 성유의 축성은 영성체 후 기도 다음에 한다. 그러나 사목의 이유가 있다면 모든 성유 축성 예식을 말씀 전례 다음에 곧바로 할 수도 있다. 물론 예식서에 제시된 순서는 지켜야 한다. In dezelfde viering worden ook de catechumenenolie en de ziekenolie gezegend. Soms vindt de chrismamis niet in de ochtend, maar in de middag plaats en soms wordt de chrismamis niet op Witte Donderdag, maar op een eerdere dag in de Goede Week gevierd. | - Die Chrisammesse (lateinisch Missa chrismatis), veraltend auch Ölweihe, ist eine heilige Messe, die in der römisch-katholischen und der alt-katholischen Kirche alljährlich in der vorösterlichen Bußzeit gefeiert wird. In der Chrisammesse werden die heiligen Öle (Chrisam, Katechumenenöl und Krankenöl) geweiht, die während des Jahres in den katholischen Kirchengemeinden zur Salbung bei der Spendung einiger Sakramente und Sakramentalien verwendet werden. Eine Salbung mit Chrisam gehört zur Liturgie von Taufe und Firmung, der Priesterweihe und Bischofsweihe, ferner zur Weihe eines Altars, einer Kirche, der Glockenweihe oder der Weihe eines Kelches. During this Mass the Holy Oils are consecrated or blessed. The Holy Oils are:
* Chrism – used in the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Orders, as well as for the consecration of altars and the dedication of churches.
* the oil of catechumens (formerly known as the oil of exorcism)– also used in the sacrament of Baptism, and
* the Oil of the Sick – used only in the rite of the Anointing of the Sick The Oil of the Catechumens and Oil of Chrism are used on Holy Saturday during the Easter Vigil for the baptism and confirmation of adults or children over the age of 10 who wish to fully enter the Church. Holy chrism is a mixture of olive oil and balsam, an aromatic resin. Balsam is poured into the oil, which gives it a sweet smell intended to remind those who encounter it of the "odor of sanctity" to which those who are marked with it, are called to strive. The bishop breathes over the vessel containing the chrism, a gesture which symbolizes the Holy Spirit coming down to consecrate this oil, and recalls the actions of Jesus in the Gospel account of John 20:22, when he breathed on the apostles and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit..." The priests concelebrating the mass extend their hands toward the vessel containing the chrism and say the chosen "prayer of consecration" silently as the bishop pronounces it over the chrism. (en)

- La messa del crisma, o messa crismale, è la celebrazione eucaristica presieduta dal vescovo nella cattedrale generalmente il mattino del giovedì santo o il pomeriggio del mercoledì santo. Se si frapponessero notevoli difficoltà alla riunione del clero e del popolo con il vescovo, si può anticipare la celebrazione in un altro giorno prossimo alla Pasqua con il formulario proprio della messa. A questa messa stazionale, che vuole significare l'unità della Chiesa locale raccolta intorno al proprio vescovo, sono invitati tutti i presbiteri della diocesi i quali, dopo l'omelia del vescovo, rinnovano le promesse fatte nel giorno della loro ordinazione sacerdotale. In questa messa, il vescovo consacra gli oli santi: il crisma, l'olio dei catecumeni e l'olio degli infermi. Essi sono gli oli che si useranno durante tutto il corso dell'anno liturgico per celebrare i sacramenti:
* il crisma viene usato nel battesimo, nella cresima e nell'ordinazione dei presbiteri e dei vescovi;
* l'olio dei catecumeni viene usato nel battesimo;
* l'olio degli infermi viene usato per l'unzione degli infermi. Nel 2020, a causa della pandemia di COVID-19, questa celebrazione non si è potuta celebrare nella mattina del giovedì santo ma, in Italia, si è dovuta celebrare nella settimana tra la solennità dell'Ascensione e la solennità di Pentecoste.
