The Clarendon Laboratory, located on Parks Road within the Science Area in Oxford, England (not to be confused with the Clarendon Building, also in Oxford), is part of the Department of Physics at Oxford University. It houses the atomic and laser physics, condensed matter physics, and biophysics groups within the Department, although four other Oxford Physics groups are not based in the Clarendon Lab. The Oxford Centre for Quantum Computation is also housed in the laboratory.

Es befindet sich im Science Area von Oxford. Das Clarendon Laboratory ist nach der Stiftung für das erste Gebäude benannt, das 1872 eröffnet wurde. Die Stiftung aus dem Nachlass von Edward Hyde finanzierte den Bau damals mit 10.000 Pfund. Im ursprünglichen Gebäude befindet sich heute die Abteilung Geowissenschaften. Es war das erste speziell als Physiklabor konzipierte Gebäude in Großbritannien, ein Gebäude voller dunkler kleiner Räume, gewundener Korridore und unerwarteter Ecken. Das Cavendish-Laboratorium in Cambridge wurde erst ein Jahr nach dem Clarendon Laboratory 1873 eröffnet. 1939 wurde das alte Gebäude aufgegeben und die Physiker zogen in ein neues Gebäude.
