This article is about Coptic Orthodox healing among Egyptians. Observant Coptic Orthodox Christians (Copts) practice and accept the “Seven Sacraments,”. These are explain as channels in which believers receive the sanctifications of the Holy Spirit. The Seven Sacraments are: baptism, confirmation, repentance and confession, communion, matrimony, anointing of the sick, and priesthood. The sixth Sacrament, ‘anointing of the sick’, is the basis of Coptic Orthodox healing.
