  • De nombreux accidents aériens se sont produits à proximité des orages. Il est souvent dit que la turbulence peut être extrême à l'intérieur d'un cumulonimbus et déchiqueter un aéronef. Cependant ce type d'accident est relativement rare. En général la turbulence sous un orage peut être assez faible voire nulle.
