| - Dasding (Eigenschreibweise: DASDING) ist das Jugendradioprogramm des Südwestrundfunks, das am 17. Mai 1997 erstmals ausgestrahlt wurde. Dasding ist ein multimediales Programm und ein Hörfunksender ohne Werbung. Das Hörfunkprogramm wird durch ein Online-Angebot ergänzt; von 2002 bis 2016 geschah dies durch die wöchentliche Fernsehsendung Dasding.tv, zunächst im SWR-Fernsehen, später auf EinsPlus. Dasding unterstützt Medienprojekte von Schulklassen und Schulen, z. B. Schülerzeitungen und Schülerradios, mit Workshops und professioneller Technik. Der Sender wurde im Rahmen eines DAB-Pilotprojekts als Kooperation der damals noch eigenständigen Rundfunkanstalten Südwestfunk und Süddeutscher Rundfunk gegründet. Organisatorisch ist Dasding zusammen mit SWR3 in der „Pop-Unit“ beim SWR in Baden-Baden untergebracht. (de)

While playing a typical narrow rotation in the main hours, it also broadcasts alternative music genres in special shows in the evening hours. It was originally intended as an additional radio station available only on DAB digital radio. After the failure of DAB in Germany, it was additionally broadcast on a few FM frequencies which previously only broadcast a foreign language program in the evening hours. Even though additional FM frequencies have been enabled, they are weak and so the reception area is generally limited to the big cities. (en)
