Dajiao, (Chinese: 打醮) called the Taiping Qingjiao or Taai ping ching jiu in Hong Kong, (太平清醮) is a Taoist ritual and festival which is performed every year. The ritual is to pray and request the Taoist Deities to bestow peace and harmony in the particular neighborhood or location. Pak Tai is the most popular Chinese Deity for this religious service and rituals. Believers have to abstain from meat and eat vegetarian food at the festival. It is performed across Greater China: Sichuan, Fujian, Taiwan, Guangdong and Hong Kong.

- De taipingqingjiao is een taoïstisch ritueel dat om de zoveel jaren wordt uitgevoerd. Het heeft tot doel de goden rust en vrede in het gebied te vragen. Deelnemers aan het ritueel zijn verplicht een paar dagen vegetarisch te eten. Het wordt in China in Sichuan, Fujian, Taiwan, Guangdong en Hongkong uitgevoerd. Die in Hongkong zijn zeer populair onder de toeristen. In sommige streken wordt het ritueel weinig uitgevoerd. In Dapengbandao wordt het het om de tien jaar gehouden, waarbij vooral Tianhou wordt vereerd. De laatste werd daar in 2010 gehouden. (nl)
