Daniel Thomas McCarty (January 18, 1912 – September 28, 1953) was an American politician and elected officeholder. McCarty was elected to the Florida House of Representatives, and served as its speaker, and was later elected the 31st Governor of Florida.

Urodzony w Fort Pierce McCarty został wybrany członkiem stanowej Izby Reprezentantów w roku 1937 i zasiadał w niej do roku 1941. W czasie sesji w roku 1941 był jej spikerem. W czasie II wojny światowej służył w armii na froncie europejskim. Zdobył wiele odznaczeń, m.in. francuski Croix de Guerre. Han var den 31:a guvernören i delstaten Florida från 6 januari 1953 fram till sin död. McCarty utexaminerades 1934 från University of Florida.
