David LeRoy Beck (born April 12, 1953) was the 21st Young Men General President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) from 2009 to 2015. Beck was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. When he was ten years old his father, Wayne Beck, was called as president of the LDS Church's Brazilian Mission and the entire family lived in Brazil for the next few years. Beck holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and a master's degree in engineering administration, both from the University of Utah.
