In 1961, with the help of Jim Gull (ex South Melbourne player) who would kick the league goalkicking record of 159 goals the Demons won their only flag. The reserve team managed to win two further premierships in 1962 and 1964 under senior premiership coach Jim Gull. The club never again reached a grand final but endured years of different results some in the bottom of the ladder while others saw them competing in finals and at times just missing out on no a grand final appearance. Whilest others finishing at the bottom of the ladder. At the end of the 2005 season a majority votev saw them switch to the Central Highlands League. Daylesford's senior side has had a successful run since joining the Central Highlands Football League with three premiership wins in 2007, 2009 and 2012. (en)
