Ernest Wriothesley Denny DL DSO (5 February 1872 – 20 October 1949) was an English first-class cricketer and British Army officer. The son of T. A. Denny, he was born at Paddington in February 1872. He was educated at Wellington College, before going up to New College, Oxford. While studying at Oxford, he made a single appearance in first-class cricket for Oxford University against the Marylebone Cricket Club at Oxford in 1891. Batting twice in the match, Denny was unbeaten without scoring in the Oxford first innings, while in their second innings he was unbeaten having scored a single run. He also bowled two wicketless overs with his right-arm fast-medium bowling.
