The European Journalism Training Association (EJTA) is a formal network of authorized European journalism training centres, enabling cooperation and exchanges of students and teachers. Within this network, international projects and education programmes are set up. In addition, EJTA organises conferences and seminars to discuss important journalistic issues. The members exchange ideas and information. This way they all work together on the improvement of journalistic education in Europe.

Verder organiseert EJTA conferenties om discussie over belangrijke journalistieke vraagstukken te stimuleren. The members exchange ideas and information. This way they all work together on the improvement of journalistic education in Europe. The non-profit organisation was founded in Brussels in 1990. It’s a legal body under Dutch law. The EJTA office is located in Mechelen. The network has over 55 members from 25 different European countries to date. Each year in May or June, EJTA holds its AGM as well as the Annual Conference. The annual EJTA Teachers’ Conference was organised for the first time in 2014. The journal Journalism Studies is published by Routledge on behalf of the European Journalism Training Association, the European Communication Research and Education Association and the Journalism Studies Division of the International Communication Association. C’est en 1990 qu’a été fondée à Bruxelles l’association sans but lucratif qui opère depuis lors sous le régime légal des Pays-Bas. Le secrétariat est basé à Malines en Belgique. Il y a plus de 55 institutions affiliées répartis dans 25 pays européens. Chaque année, EJTA organise sa conférence générale annuelle (AGM) au mois de mai ou juin. Depuis 2004, l’association a mis sur pied une autre conférence annuelle, cette fois axée uniquement sur le corps enseignant (Annuel Conference). (fr)

De non-profitorganisatie werd in 1990 in Brussel opgericht en is statutair in Nederland gevestigd. Het secretariaat bevindt zich in Mechelen. Er zijn meer dan 55 aangesloten lid-organisaties uit 25 landen, zowel uit West- als Oost-Europa. Elk jaar in mei of juni houdt EJTA haar jaarlijkse algemene vergadering, de AGM. Ook de jaarlijkse conferentie (Annual Conference) wordt dan georganiseerd. Sinds 2014 is er ook een jaarlijkse conferentie van docenten. (nl)
