The Delta Flyer was introduced in this episode, which was a special shuttlecraft for the Voyager starship. In the show, it is custom made by the crew of the Starship during this episode, and features Borg technology. The construction and testing of the shuttlecraft is a major plot element in this show. The Delta Flyer shuttlecraft would become a recurring element on the show after this episode. The Delta Flyer was designed by Rich Sternbach, and exterior views were rendered by computer graphics by Foundation Imaging. This episode originally aired on UPN on October 28, 1998. (en)
