Fei Danxu (simplified Chinese: 费丹旭; traditional Chinese: 費丹旭; pinyin: Fèi Dānxù; Wade–Giles: Fei Tan-hsü; 1801–1850) was an itinerant Chinese painter during the Qing Dynasty. Fei's courtesy name was Zitiao (子苕), and his art names were Xiaolou (晓楼) and Huanxisheng (环溪生). A later pseudonym was Ouweng (偶翁). He was a native of Wucheng (乌程 - now Wuxing, Zhejiang). He was often associated with the painter Gai Qi in what was known as the "Gai Fei" school. Fei's younger brother Dancheng, as well as his sons and grandsons, continued the tradition of painting beautiful women, as did Gai Qi's grandson.

Va néixer a , actualment Wuxing, província de Zhejiang, l'any 1801 i va morir el 1850. Fou un artista que va treballar per a famílies molt importants. Va començar la seva activitat de ben jove i que va recórrer diferents llocs de Zhejiang i de Jiangsu. Es va especialitzar en la pintura de dones boniques (com per exemple “Dames” que es troba al Museu Provincial Yunnan, cosa que el va fer molt popular. Acostumava a pintar amb pinzell humit, aconseguint diferents tons, mentre que les figures femenines les realitzava amb pinzellades de línia fina i molt precisa. Els seus paisatges s'inspiraven en Wang Hui (1632-1717) mentre que les pintures de flors rebien la influència de Yun Shouping (1633-1690). (ca)

Among his paintings of beautiful women is "Twelve Beauties of Jinling," which features twelve of the major female characters in the novel Dream of the Red Chamber. He was often associated with the painter Gai Qi in what was known as the "Gai Fei" school. Fei's younger brother Dancheng, as well as his sons and grandsons, continued the tradition of painting beautiful women, as did Gai Qi's grandson. (en)
