The Fernmeldeturm Mannheim is a 217.8-metre-high (715 ft) concrete telecommunication tower with an observation deck in Mannheim, Germany. It was designed by the architects and built from 1973 and 1975. It contains transmission facilities for UHR radio services, microwave communications, and omnidirectional radio services. A glassed observation deck and a revolving restaurant at a height of 120 metres allow a nice view over Mannheim and the surrounding area. The tower is a modern landmark of the city of Mannheim.

In December 1994 a German SAR Army helicopter returning from a medical patient transfer mission collided with the top of the tower and fell to the ground. The crew of four people died instantly. Parts of the top of the tower were disconnected and also fell to the ground.

Der Mannheimer Fernmeldeturm, für die Versorgung der Funk- und Fernmeldedienste im Raum Mannheim errichtet, war eine öffentlich begehbare Attraktion der Bundesgartenschau 1975. Der Turm beherbergt neben Sendeeinrichtungen für Richtfunk und Funkdienste im UKW- und Fernseh-Bereich in 124 Metern Höhe ein Drehrestaurant und in 121 Metern eine Aussichtsplattform, von der man einen Rundblick über Mannheim und das Umland mit den Städten Ludwigshafen am Rhein, Worms, Heidelberg, Speyer, so wie Neustadt an der Weinstraße bis hin zur Deutschen Weinstraße, den Odenwald, den Pfälzerwald und bei besonders guter Sicht sogar bis zum östlichsten Teil des Nordpfälzer Berglandes mit dem Donnersberg hat. En diciembre de 1994 helicóptero del ejército alemán que regresaba del traslado de un paciente, chocó contra la parte superior de la torre y cayó. La tripulación (cuatro personas) murió instantáneamente. Partes de la antena también cayeron sin ocasionar pérdidas humanas. (es)
