Fi Zilal al-Qur'an (Arabic: في ظِلالِ القرآن, romanized: fī ẓilāl al-qur'ān, lit. 'In the Shade of the Qur'an') is a highly influential commentary of the Qur'an, written during 1951-1965 by the Egyptian Sayyid Qutb (1906-1966), a leader within the Muslim Brotherhood. He wrote (or re-wrote) most of the original 30 volumes (114 Surahs) while in prison following an attempted assassination of Egyptian president Gamal Abdel Nasser in 1954. The book outlines Qutb's vision of a Muslim state and society. It has had much influence throughout the Muslim world, especially amongst the ordinary lay practitioners of Islam in the Arab world.

Dabei handelt es sich um einen Korankommentar in 30 Bänden, worin sämtliche 114 Suren behandelt werden. Die 30 Bände entsprechen den 30 Dschuzʾ-Einheiten des Korans. Im Jahre 1951 begann der Autor mit der Niederschrift, die sich bis 1965 hinzog. Der größte Teil des Werks wurde im Gefängnis geschrieben bzw. revidiert und ergänzt, als Qutb nach einem Attentatsversuch auf den ägyptischen Staatspräsidenten Gamal Abdel Nasser im Jahre 1954 zu einer jahrzehntelangen Haftstrafe verurteilt wurde. In seinem ausführlichen Korankommentar skizziert der Autor seine Anschauungen zum Aufbau einer islamischen Gesellschaft und eines islamischen Staates. (de)
