| - Liberstila flugdisko estas kaj sporto kaj spektaklo karakterizita per kreivaj, akrobataj kaj atletaj manovroj per fluganta disko. La Unuiĝo de Liberstilaj Flugdisk-Ludantoj estas la estraro de liberstila flugdiskludo, "dediĉita al la kreskado de liberstila teatraĵo kiel dumviva distro kaj konkurenca sporto". La organizo estas implikita en internaciaj turniroj kaj rangotabeloj same kiel edukadaj stipendioj kaj varbaj agadoj: ĉiujare la unuiĝo okazigas mondĉampionecon kun sekcioj laŭ malfermaj paroj, miksitaj paroj, malfermaj kooperativoj kaj virinaj paroj. The Freestyle Players Association (FPA) is the governing body of freestyle, "dedicated to the growth of freestyle disc play as a lifetime recreation and competitive sport. The organization is involved in international tournaments and rankings as well as education grants and promotional activities. Every year, the FPA holds a world championship with divisions in Open Pairs, Mixed Pairs, Open Co-op, and Women's Pairs. Competitive freestyle is usually judged on execution, difficulty, and artistic impression by a panel of players. (en)

- Il frisbee freestyle (flying disc freestyle) è una disciplina sportiva del frisbee caratterizzata da spettacolarità, creatività e libertà di azione. Consiste in esercizi acrobatici, evoluzioni e coreografie su base musicale. È possibile praticare questo sport da soli o in gruppo, indoor o all'aperto, a livello agonistico o a scopo ricreativo, inoltre essendo concepito come sport spettacolare, diventa protagonista di show, apparizioni TV e attività di intrattenimento. Durante una esibizione o una gara, i frisbee vengono lanciati dai giocatori con impressa una forte rotazione, tramite la quale è possibile tenere il disco in equilibrio con l'unghia (nail delay o delay), per poi coinvolgerlo in trick e varie figure attorno al corpo, colpirlo con mani e piedi, farlo scorrere lungo le braccia, passarlo ad altri giocatori, fermarlo con prese acrobatiche. I team sono formati da due atleti per le categorie Open, Mixed e Women Pairs e da tre atleti per la categoria Co-op. La categoria individuale (più rara e non formale) è invece lo Shred. Oltre che un sistema di numerosi tornei in tutto il mondo (FPAW - Campionati mondiali, europei, americani e molti altri minori), esiste una classifica internazionale, il ranking dei giocatori che partecipano ai tornei ufficiali che l'FPA si incarica di gestire.
