Vinck studierte an der Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten van Antwerpen bei Josephus Laurentius Dyckmans. Um 1866 studierte er privat bei Hendrik Leys. Er wurde zum Professor an den Akademien von Antwerpen und Dendermonde ernannt.
