Fred Ties (January 4, 1841 – March 27, 1928) was an American farmer and politician. Born in the village of Hagedorn, Westphalia, Germany, Ties emigrated with his parents to the United States in 1858 and settled in the town of Spring Grove, Green County, Wisconsin. Ties was a farmer. During the American Civil War, Ties served in the 18th Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry Regiment. Ties served as town assessor for the town of Spring Grove. He also served as chairman of the Spring Grove Town Board. Ties served as Green County clerk, from 1893 to 1897, and was a United States. In 1900, Ties moved to Brodhead, Wisconsin.
