Jean Bart was a Cassard-class anti-air frigate of the French Marine Nationale. She was the eighth vessel of the French Navy named after the privateer Jean Bart. She was commissioned on 3 March 1991. Jean Bart was fitted with a number of types of prototype equipment which were later incorporated in the La Fayette-class frigates. The vessel was withdrawn from service in August 2021.

Il doit être remplacé fin 2022 par la FREMM DA Lorraine, qui a été mise à l’eau à Lorient en novembre 2020. Son sister-ship, le Cassard, a été désarmé en 2019, remplacé en avril 2021 par la FREMM DA Alsace.Il finira début 2022, en brise lame à l'île du levant en remplacement de l'ex-FLM Suffren. (fr)
