Gied Jaspars (6 July 1939 – 14 February 1996) was a Dutch television maker who gained prominence in the 1960s and 1970s making progressive and controversial TV shows for the VPRO; he is well known for his collaboration with writer and director Wim T. Schippers. After he left the television and film industry he started a career as a business man; throughout his career he had a great interest in nature, expressed in narrative, meditative reflections in television and radio series which were later bundled as a single collection.

Later produceerde hij de BB-kwis, Sonja’s goed nieuws show, Natuurmomenten, Waar gebeurd, en diverse programma’s van Wim T. Schippers. De samenwerking met Schippers begon in 1967 toen hij door de VPRO als regisseur aan het team van Hoepla werd toegevoegd. Tussendoor ontwikkelde hij samen met Samuel Meyering een revolutionair opbergsysteem, de Rolykit. (nl)

In 1984 produceerde hij Een dagje naar het strand van Theo van Gogh. Jaspars was gehuwd met Helen Pavias. Ze woonden in de Oostzijdse Molen aan het Gein. Jaspars overleed op 56-jarige leeftijd aan darmkanker. (nl)
