- Die Karfreitagsfürbitte für die Juden ist eine der Großen Fürbitten in der Karfreitagsliturgie nach dem römischen Ritus, den die römischen Katholiken, Altkatholiken und manche Anglikaner verwenden. Sie entstand im 6. Jahrhundert, nannte die Juden seit 750 perfidis („treulos“), ihren Glauben iudaica perfidia („jüdische Treulosigkeit“) und bat Gott darum, den „Schleier von ihren Herzen“ wegzunehmen, ihnen die Erkenntnis Jesu Christi zu schenken und so der „Verblendung ihres Volkes“ und „Finsternis“ zu entreißen. Seit 800 erhielt sie zudem besondere Merkmale: Nur bei dieser Fürbitte sollten die Beter nicht niederknien und kein Amen sprechen. 1570 legte Papst Pius V. diese Fassung fest, die bis 1956 unverändert gültig blieb. - L’expression latine Oremus et pro perfidis Judaeis était l’exorde d’une oraison prononcée dans la liturgie catholique lors de la prière du Vendredi saint. Introduite au VIIe siècle, elle signifiait originellement « Prions aussi pour les Juifs incroyants » ou « Prions aussi pour les Juifs infidèles », au sens où ces derniers n'adhéraient pas à la foi chrétienne.
