Gordon Arthur Delamont (27 October 1918 – 16 January 1981) was a Canadian music educator, author, composer, and trumpeter. He is best remembered for his work as an educator, having helped shape the talents of dozens of notable musicians in Toronto. He also published several books on musical theory topics which have been used widely by schools in North America.   • Gordon Arthur Delamont (* 27. Oktober 1918 in Moose Jaw; † 16. Januar 1981 in Toronto) war ein kanadischer Trompeter, Komponist und Musikpädagoge. Delamont hatte Unterricht bei seinem Vater, dem Trompeter . Ab 1939 war er in Toronto Lead-Trompeter in verschiedenen Tanz- und Rundfunkorchestern. Von 1945 bis 1949 trat er mit einem eigenen Tanzorchester auf. Im Sommer 1949 nahm er Kurse in Komposition, Arrangement und Musikpädagogik bei in New York, danach eröffnete er ein eignes in Toronto und unterrichtete privat Harmonielehre, Kontrapunkt, Komposition und Musiktheorie. Zu seinen Schülern zählten im Laufe von dreißig Jahren u. a.
