It was built from 1815 to 1819 It is also known as Government Depot Site (former), Government Depot Ruins, Thornleigh, Stratton and Rooty Hill Government Farm. The property is owned by Department of Planning and Infrastructure (State Government). It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.
