The grey-throated white-eye (Zosterops rendovae) is a species of bird. Its family, the Zosteropidae, is probably not valid and belongs in the Timaliidae instead. It is also known as Zosterops ugiensis because Z. rendovae has often been used for the Solomons white-eye (Z. kulambangrae).

Se encuentra en las islas de Guadalcanal y Makira en el sur de las islas Salomón y en la isla Bougainville, la última pertenece a Papúa Nueva Guinea aunque está en el norte del archipiélago de las islas Salomón. Cada isla tiene su propia subespecie: Z. r. rendovae en Makira, Z. r. oblitus en Guadalcanal y Z. r. hamlini en Bougainville. Habita en el bosque primario, principalmente entre los 900–2000 m msnm pero también se encuentra en menor cantidad en altitudes más bajas. Es un pájaro pequeño, de 12–13 cm de longitud. El plumaje de sus partes superiores es principalmente verde oscuro, con la cola parduzca, con el lorum pardo y un fino anillo periocular de color blanco. Sus partes inferiores son de color gris excepto la las coberteras la parte inferior de las alas que son amarillas. Su pico es negruzco, más claro en la base y la mandíbula inferior. (es)

The Guadalcanal white-eye (Z. oblitus) on Guadalcanal and Bougainville white-eye (Z. hamlini) on Bougainville were formerly considered subspecies, but are now considered distinct species. It inhabits primary forest, mainly at 900–2000 m above sea-level but small numbers occur at lower levels. It is a small bird, 12–13 cm long. It is fairly dark green above with a brownish tail, a variable dark brown area between the eye and bill and a narrow white ring around the eye. The underparts are dark grey apart from the green chin, pale centre to the belly and yellow undertail-coverts. The bill is blackish with a pale base to the lower mandible. (en)
