- György Mészáros (April 30, 1933 – September 14, 2015) was a Hungarian sprint canoeist who competed from the mid-1950s to the early 1970s. Competing in two Summer Olympics, he won two silver medals at Rome in 1960, earning them in the K-1 4 × 500 m and the K-2 1000 m events. Mészáros also won five medals at the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships with a gold (K-2 1000 m: 1954), three silvers (K-1 4 × 500 m: 1958, K-4 1000 m: 1958, K-4 10000 m: 1971), and a bronze (K-4 10000 m: 1954). - György Mészáros (ur. 30 kwietnia 1933, zm. 14 września 2015) – węgierski kajakarz. Dwukrotny medalista olimpijski z Rzymu. Brał udział w dwóch igrzyskach (IO 60, IO 64). W 1960 zajął drugie miejsce w sztafecie kajakarzy (drużynę węgierską tworzyli ponadto Imre Kemecsey, András Szente i Imre Szöllősi) oraz w K-2 na dystansie 1000 metrów (wspólnie z Szente). Był pięciokrotnym medalistą mistrzostw świata - złotym w K-2 na dystansie 1000 metrów w 1954, dwukrotnie srebrnym w 1958 - sztafeta 4xK-1 500 metrów i K-4 na 1000 m i raz w 1971 (K-4 10000 m) oraz brązowym w 1954 w kajakowej czwórce na dystansie 10000 metrów.
