| - أتش أم أس سيل واحدة من ستة غواصات من طراز class تسخدم لزرع الألغام خدمت في البحرية الملكية. عملت في الحرب العالمية الثانية واستولت عليها كريغسمارين وتم نقلها إلى الخدمة في البحرية الألمانية باعتبارها يو بي، واحدة من عدة غواصات تم الإستيلاء عليها. كانت الغواصة الوحيدة التي أستولى عليها الألمان في عرض البحر خلال الحرب العالمية الثانية. تمكن الألمان عند الإستيلاء على هذه الغواصة بتصحيح خطأ حرج في طوربيدات غواصاتهم. تم وضعها في تشاتام دوكيارد في 9 ديسمبر 1936، وتم إطلاقها في 27 سبتمبر 1938 وتم تكليفها في البحرية الملكية في 24 مايو 1939. كان قائدها روبرت لونسديل. - HMS Seal (Seehund) war ein britisches U-Boot der Porpoise-Klasse im Zweiten Weltkrieg, das von der deutschen Kriegsmarine erbeutet und dann mit der Bezeichnung U B in Dienst gestellt wurde. Es war das einzige U-Boot, das die deutschen Streitkräfte auf See erbeuten konnten. (de)
- Le HMS Seal (Pennant number : N37) était l’un des six sous-marins mouilleur de mines de la classe Grampus appartenant à la Royal Navy. Il a servi pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, a été capturé par la Kriegsmarine et remis en service en Allemagne comme UB, l’un des nombreux sous-marins capturés. Il est le seul sous-marin que les Allemands aient capturé en mer pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Seconda unità a portare il nome di HMS Seal, nel 1940 fu catturato dalla Kriegsmarine ed incorporato in servizio nel gruppo U-Boot. Fu l'unico sottomarino ad essere catturato in mare dalla Marina tedesca durante la seconda guerra mondiale. Durante il suo servizio sotto la bandiera britannica il sottomarino ebbe come comandante Rupert Lonsdale, al suo secondo comando. (it)

- HMS Seal was one of six Grampus-class mine-laying submarines of the Royal Navy. She served in the Second World War and was captured by the Kriegsmarine and taken into German service as UB, one of several captured subs. She was the only submarine the Germans captured at sea during World War II. Her capture allowed the Germans to correct a critical fault in their U-boat torpedoes. (en)
