Henry Racamier (1912-2003) was a French business executive who turned Louis Vuitton from a small luxury goods brand into an internationally recognized brand with billions of dollars in international sales. In 1943 he wed Odile Vuitton, a great-granddaughter of the founder and a major shareholder of Louis Vuitton. He was the co-founder of LVMH the company which arose of the luggage company's merger with the champagne house Moët & Chandon. This new concern was originally founded to provide both previously independent companies protection from a potential outside hostile takeover. He then went on to be director of the new firm.
