Hessa or Heissa is an island in Ålesund Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is the westernmost island in the municipality and it is one of the main islands in the island-city of Ålesund. The island is located west and south of the island of Aspøya, south of Giske and Valderøya, east of Godøya, and north of the island of Sula. The 314-metre (1,030 ft) tall mountain Sukkertoppen is situated in the middle of the island.

Im Osten der Insel liegt Slinningen, auf dem östlichsten Punkt befindet sich das denkmalgeschützte, ursprünglich der Fischereiwirtschaft dienende Haus Slinningbua. Östlich vorgelagert ist die kleine Insel Slinningsholmen. Im Nordosten befindet sich . Dort sind auch Gewerbetriebe und vor allem Fischverarbeitung angesiedelt. Im Ort befindet sich die . Insgesamt leben 4.040 Menschen (Stand 2015) auf der Insel. Auf der Westseite der Insel liegt das Aquarium Atlantikpark. Vor Hessa befindet sich dort die kleine Insel Snegleværet. (de)
