Hipstamatic is a digital photography application for iPhone sold by Hipstamatic, LLC. It uses the phone's camera to allow the user to shoot photographs, to which it applies a number of software filters to make the images look as though they were taken with a vintage film camera. The user can choose among a number of effects which are presented in the application as simulated lenses, films and flashes. Several of these are included with the application, while others may be acquired through an in-app purchase. The application had sold four million copies as of January 2012.

Das Programm, dessen Oberfläche einer analogen Fotokamera nachempfunden ist, verändert durch die Kombination verschiedener Software-Filter die Fotos, so dass sie wie Analogfotografien verschiedener Zeitepochen wirken. Die Auswahl der Filter erfolgt über die Kombination verschiedener virtueller Objektive, Filme und Blitze. Die dabei verwendeten Namen entsprechen keinen wirklichen Markennamen, sind aber an Markennamen wie Kodak angelehnt. Nach dem Auslösen berechnet die Software den Einfluss der Filter mehrere Sekunden lang, was als „developing“ (englisch für entwickeln) bezeichnet wird. Neben den im Lieferumfang vorhandenen Objektiven, Filmen und Blitzen können weitere – teilweise gegen Gebühren – freigeschaltet werden. Bis November 2010 wurde die Software 1,4 Millionen Mal verkauft.
