The Human Protein Atlas (HPA) is a Swedish-based program started in 2003 with the aim to map all the human proteins in cells, tissues and organs using integration of various omics technologies, including antibody-based imaging, mass spectrometry-based proteomics, transcriptomics and systems biology. All the data in the knowledge resource is open access to allow scientists both in academia and industry to freely access the data for exploration of the human proteome. In November 2021, version 21 was launched. A lot of new data and content have been added and the resource now includes ten separate sections with complementary information about all human proteins. En septembre 2019, la version 19 a été lancée en introduisant trois nouvelles pièces en plus de l'existant; l'Atlas des tissus montrant la distribution des protéines dans tous les principaux tissus et organes du corps humain, l'Atlas des Cellules montrant la localisation subcellulaire des protéines dans les cellules individuelles, et l'Atlas de Pathologie montrant l'impact de niveaux de protéines pour la survie des patients atteints de cancer. Il database include profili di espressione di proteine di 44 cancri ai tessuti, 56 linee cellulari, localizzazione subcellulare e livelli di espressione trascrizione.Il database è consultabile per uno specifico gene o proteina.Le ultime funzionalità agigunte permettono anche ricerche combinate per trovare tutte le proteine espresse in un certo organo o tessuto o le differenti proteine espresse per uno specifico tipo di tumore.
