- Hwa Rang Do (화랑도) is een Koreaanse vechtkunst ontwikkelde door grootmeester (이조방). Grootmeester Lee Joo Bang trainde in hapkido, maar ging later zijn eigen weg en ontwikkelde het Hwa Rang Do. Later emigreerde Lee Joo Bang naar de Verenigde Staten en begon daar les te geven in het Hwa Rang Do. In Korea zelf is deze stijl nagenoeg onbekend, maar is met name in de Verenigde Staten een populaire stijl. (nl)
- Hwarangdo (kor. 화랑도; inne pisownie: Hwa Rang Do, Hwarang Do, farangdo) – koreańska sztuka walki obejmująca rzuty, dźwignie, jak i kopnięcia, podobna do hapkido. Hwarangdo, popularnie nazywana obecnie Farang Mu Sul, opiera się na starodawnej koncepcji energii "Ki" pozwalającej na lepsze kontrolowanie własnego umysłu i siły. Farang mu Sul to teraz bardzo popularna wśród Europejczyków sztuka walki. Na całym świecie są otwierane szkoły hwarangdo, ten nowoczesny system walki dotarł do Europy w 1985 roku do Niemiec, gdzie pierwszą szkołę otworzył Mistrz Klaus Wachsmann, u którego nauki pobierali Marek Ciechanowski oraz Krzysztof Gumuła. Dzięki nim Hwa Rang Do, a następnie Farang Mu Sul zaczęto trenować również w Polsce od 1991 roku. (pl)
- Hwarang-Do (kor. 화랑도) ist eine moderne koreanische Kampfkunst. Ihr Name setzt sich zusammen aus der Bezeichnung für eine Organisation des Silla-Königreiches (Hwarang), die etwa im 3. Jahrhundert gewirkt hat, sowie dem Wort Do, welches so viel wie „geistiger Weg“ bedeutet. Hwarang-Do geht zurück auf und seinen Bruder . Diese haben zunächst Hapkido gelernt und wurden danach ihren eigenen Angaben zufolge von einem koreanischen Mönch namens in den alten koreanischen Kampfkünsten der Hwarang unterrichtet.
