The INAS World Football Championship is an international association football competition for athletes with intellectual disabilities. It takes place every four years, typically in the country that also hosts the FIFA World Cup. It is organized by the International Sports Federation for Persons with Intellectual Disability (INAS-FID) which also organizes championships in other sports.

Medizinische Voraussetzung für die Teilnahme an der WM ist ein Intelligenzquotient unter 75 und eine deutlich eingeschränkte Fähigkeit zur Verhaltensanpassung. Die Beeinträchtigung muss bereits vor dem 18. Lebensjahr gutachterlich festgestellt worden sein. Gewinner war 1994 und 1998 auf heimischem Boden das Team der Niederlande. gewann England, 2006 (in Deutschland) und gewann jeweils die Mannschaft aus Saudi-Arabien (beide traten im Finalkampf jeweils gegen die Niederlande an). Die , an der neun Mannschaften teilnahmen, fand vom 11. bis 25. August in der brasilianischen Stadt São Paulo statt. Das Eröffnungsspiel war am 13. August, das Endspiel am 23. August gewann die Mannschaft Saudi-Arabiens gegen Südafrika mit 4:2 und ist damit zum dritten Mal in Folge Weltmeister. Die deutsche Auswahl war bereits am Ende der Gruppenphase mit 0:3 gegen Polen ausgeschieden. (de)

To participate in an INAS-FID event, an athlete must have an intellectual disability that was evident before the age of 18, significant limitations in adaptive behavior, and an IQ score below 75.
