Ingvar Brynhjulf Wedervang (21 July 1891 – 4 December 1961) was a Norwegian economist and statistician. He graduated from the University of Oslo with a degree in economics in 1913. During the next nine years, he worked first as a government statistician with Statistics Norway, then for the private company , and again for a government agency. In 1922 he moved to Munich and continued his studies. He returned to Statistics Norway in 1923 and received his doctorate in 1925 with a dissertation on the sex proportion at birth and infant mortality. Wedervang became lecturer at the University of Oslo in 1925 and was appointed professor of economics and statistics in June 1926.

Wedervang blev cand. øcon. 1913, verkade i Statistisk Sentralbyrå 1913-15 och hos godsägare Treschow 1916-18, var avdelningschef i Statens Rationeringsdirektorat 1918-20, konsult i Statens Prisdirektorat 1920-23. År 1925 tog han doktorsgraden på avhandlingen Om seksualproporsjonen ved fødselen, blev docent i statistik 1925 och var professor i statistik och nationalekonomi vid universitetet i Oslo 1927-36. Han var professor vid Norges handelshøyskole i Bergen 1937 och dess rektor 1937–57, men tillbringade under den tyska ockupationen en tid i koncentrationsläger på grund av sitt motstånd mot nazismen.
