Irving "Ash" Resnick (March 6, 1916 – January 18, 1989) was an American mob figure, gambler, boxing promoter and manager. Resnick was also a former college and professional basketball player, having played, in college, for the New York University's basketball team from 1936 to 1939, and then, for five seasons during the period between 1939 and 1948, for teams in Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Trenton, and Paterson of the American Basketball League (a United States professional basketball league that ran from 1925 to 1955). He was also an Army veteran, serving there between 1942 and 1945.
