Jane Gilmer Landers (born January 1, 1947) is an historian of colonial Latin America and the Atlantic World who specializes in the history of Africans and their descendants. She is the Gertrude Conaway Vanderbilt Professor of History at Vanderbilt University, Director of the Center for Latin American and Iberian Studies, and former Associate Dean of the College of Arts & Science. Landers was born in Pittsburgh and raised in the Dominican Republic, where her father was a naval officer attached to the United States diplomatic mission at Santo Domingo.
