| - Jean-Jacques Causse (29 August 1751 – 15 April 1796) was killed in action at the Second Battle of Dego while commanding a French Republican infantry brigade. He joined the French Royal Army and after serving in the ranks for 22 years, gained promotion to officer during the French Revolution. While fighting in the War of the Pyrenees Causse enjoyed rapid advancement, emerging as a general of brigade in December 1793. He transferred to the Army of Italy in February 1795. CAUSSE is one of the names inscribed under the Arc de Triomphe, on Column 30. (en)
- Jean-Jacques Causse, né le 29 août 1751 à Caux dans le Languedoc et mort le 15 avril 1796 à Dego en Italie, est un général de brigade de la Révolution française. Incorporé très jeune dans l'armée royale, où il sert pendant vingt-deux ans, il est promu officier au cours de la Révolution française : affecté dans les Pyrénées, il se distingue à plusieurs reprises contre les Espagnols et connaît un avancement rapide, étant promu général de brigade en décembre 1793. Il est tué à la bataille de Dego face aux Autrichiens en avril 1796, alors qu'il participe à la première campagne d'Italie sous les ordres de Napoléon Bonaparte. Son nom est inscrit sous l'arc de triomphe de l'Étoile à Paris. (fr)
