Johann Joseph Thalherr (or Talherr), also known as Czech: Jan Josef Talherr or Hungarian: József Talherr (1730 – 16 October 1801), was an Austrian architect. Thalherr was born in Fulnek, Moravia (now Czech Republic). He studied architecture in Vienna and, after graduation, worked there as court architect, under the direction of .

Johann Thalherr studierte in Wien, anschließend war er unter der Leitung von Isidore Canevale im Hofbauamt tätig. 1782 siedelte er nach Budapest um und arbeitete als ungarischer Kammerarchitekt. 1788 wurde er Leiter der ungarischen Baudirektion. Sein Werk war von Andrea Palladio beeinflusst. Seine Bauten sind in Budapest, Bratislava, Győr und anderen ungarischen Städten zu finden. (de)
