| - جون ألدن لورينغ (بالإنجليزية: John Alden Loring) ولد في (31 مارس 1871م - 8 مايو 1947م) هو عالم ثدييات عمل عدد من الأماكن منها مكتب الأبحاث البيولوجية، وفي المؤسسة الأمريكية للأسماك والحياة البرية، وحديقة حيوانات برونكس، ومؤسسة سميثسونيان إضافة إلى العديد من البعثات إلى أمريكا الشمالية وأوروبا وأفريقيا حتى يقوم بجمع العينات. هاو تجميع كبير ومتفان، حيث كان لورينغ معروفًا مبكرًا في عمله بتسعمائة نموذج جمعه وأعده وأرسله إلى المتحف القومي بالولايات المتحدة خلال فترة 3 أشهر أمضاها في حملة عام 1898م في شمال غرب أوروبا وإسكندنافيا. - John Alden Loring (March 31, 1871 – May 8, 1947) was a mammalogist and field naturalist who served with the Bureau of Biological Survey, United States Department of Agriculture, the Bronx Zoological Park, the Smithsonian Institution and numerous expeditions collecting specimens in North America, Europe and Africa. A voluminous and careful traveling collector, Loring was recognized early in his career for 900 specimens collected, prepared and sent to the United States National Museum over a three-month period during an 1898 expedition through Scandinavia and northwestern Europe.
