John Lingard of Pentonville (24 February 1768—March 1845) was an English author and expert in the field of dry rot. He also worked with Richard Holmes Laurie (a cartographer) to produce a detailed map of the area of London covering 32 square miles (83 km2) from St Paul’s Cathedral.
