- Joseph Lagu (born 21 November 1931, in a hamlet called Momokwe in Moli, northern region of , about 80 miles south of Juba, Sudan, currently South Sudan) is a South Sudanese military figure and politician. He belongs to the Madi ethnic group of Eastern Equatoria State, South Sudan. In May 1960 he graduated from the military college in Omdurman and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Sudanese Army and was posted to Shendi with the 10th Brigade, Northern Command. In the period 1978–1979, Lagu served as the second President of the . (en)
- اللواء جوزيف لاقو (بالإنجليزية: Joseph Lagu) (ولد في 21 نوفمبر 1931 م بجنوب السودان), هو لواء معاش، ضابط سابق بالجيش ورجل دولة تدرج في تعليمه حتى تخرج من الكلية الحربية السودانية بأم درمان 1960 م. عمل ضابطاً بالقوات المسلحة السودانية في الفترة من (1960-1963 م) ثم التحق بجيش التمرد الجنوبي " الانانيا" . وقد كان قائداً لجيش الانانيا في عام 1969 م، في فترة الحرب الأهلية السودانية الأولى. له عدة مؤلفات تم نشرها، منها كتاب :
* الانانيا : مالذي نحارب من أجله ؟؟ تم نشره عام 1972م.
* نال من الطبقة الأولى. عاد إلى الخرطوم في 19 نوفمبر 2004 م بعد طول غياب. (ar)
- Joseph Lagu és un polític i militar sudanès d'ètnia madi, nascut a Momokwe (més de 100 km al sud de Juba) el 21 de novembre de 1931. Es va graduar com a militar a Omdurman el maig de 1960 i fou oficial de l'exèrcit sudanès a la 10 Brigada del comandament del nord.
