| - Juffureh és una població de Gàmbia a la Divisió del Nord, a la riba del riu Gàmbia, districte d'. Del 1651 al 1659 va pertànyer a Curlàndia i del 1659 al 1661 a Holanda, passant després als britànics que de fet la van acabar abandonant. El 1681 els francesos van establir una factoria a uns dos o tres quilòmetres a l'oest, anomenada Fort Albreda, a la població d'Albreda (Albadarr). Juffureh es va fer famosa per ser el suposat origen de Kunta Kinteh, el personatge central derivat de la tradició oral de la novel·la d' "Roots" que va inspirar una sèrie de televisió, i per uns anys va ser un destí turístic. Juffureh està unida a la veïna població d'Albadarr o Albreda, formant un nucli amb més de sis mil habitants dels quals prop de quatre mil corresponen a Juffureh. (ca)

- Jufureh, Juffureh eller Juffure är en ort i Gambia som ligger på den norra sidan av Gambiafloden. Den är känd för att vara platsen där Alex Haleys anfader Kunta Kinte blev bortrövad av slavjägare på 1700-talet, vilket beskrivs i boken Rötter. Jufureh hade 635 invånare vid folkräkningen 2013 och är sammanvuxet med grannorten Albreda. I Juffure finns museet Maurel Frères Building, helt ägnat åt slaveriets historia. - Jufureh (also spelled Juffureh or Juffure) is a town in the Gambia, 30 kilometers inland on the north bank of the River Gambia in the North Bank Division near James Island. The town is home to a museum and Fort Jillifree. In 1651 a small plot of land from the village was leased by Jacob Kettler, the Duke of Courland, from the king of Kombo, as part of the Couronian colonization of Africa. There is a sign at the entrance of the village (sponsored by Gambian government and World Bank) that declares Jufureh a "baby friendly community". (en)
