The KSU Gazal-1 (Arabic for ‘gazelle') is a sport utility vehicle developed by students at King Saud University and technicians from Magna Steyr. The mass production began on 14 June 2010 under King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia. The managers of the project are Dr. Abdul Rahman Alahmari and Dr. Saed Darweesh. Dr. Khalid Alsaleh, who registered patents for the vehicle, mentioned in a TV interview that environment specific tests such as camel collision tolerance were conducted.

- Der KSU Gazal-1 ist ein auf Basis der Mercedes-Benz G-Klasse von Studenten der König-Saud-Universität entwickelter Geländewagen. Das Fahrzeug wurde erstmals im März 2010 auf dem Genfer Auto-Salon der Weltöffentlichkeit präsentiert. Unterstützung bei der Entwicklung des Fahrzeuges erhielten die angehenden Ingenieure vom österreichischen Automobilhersteller Magna Steyr und dem italienischen Designstudio . Das Modell wurde für eine Massenproduktion von 20.000 Einheiten pro Jahr angesetzt. Vorwiegender Absatzmarkt sollen die Länder des Nahen Ostens sein. La production a été lancée le 14 juin 2010 par le roi Abdallah ben Abdelaziz Al Saoud.
