Koutsouras (Κουτσουράς) is a village in Lasithi regional unit, in Crete, Greece 22 kilometers east of Ierapetra. Its population is 818 (2001 est.). It was the headquarters of the municipality of Makry Gialos (Dimos Makry Gialou) and is the biggest village in the region. Key economic activities include agriculture and tourism. It has nice beaches and a golf course is due to be built over the next five years. The coast is rocky and there are beautiful pebble beaches with crystal clear waters. Today it is the seat of Makry Gialos municipal unit and part of Ierapetra municipality.

- Ο Κουτσουράς είναι παραθαλάσσιο χωριό της Κοινότητας Σταυροχωρίου του νομού Λασιθίου, ανατολικά της Ιεράπετρας. Είναι η έδρα της Δημοτικής ενότητας Μακρύ Γιαλού του Δήμου Ιεράπετρας. Η απόστασή του από την πόλη του Αγίου Νικολάου είναι 58 χιλιόμετρα, από την Ιεράπετρα 22 χιλιόμετρα και από τη Σητεία 37. Οι κάτοικοι ασχολούνται κυρίως με τη γεωργία (καλλιέργεια πρώιμων κηπευτικών, ελαιοκομία) και δευτερευόντως με τουριστικά επαγγέλματα. Στον Κουτσουρά μπορεί κανείς να δει το άλσος του Απηγανιά, με υποδομή για φιλοξενία συναυλιών και ποικίλων πολιτιστικών εκδηλώσεων. Από το άλσος ξεκινά ένα φαράγγι, το οποίο έπειτα από διαδρομή μισής ώρας, καταλήγει σε ένα εκκλησάκι. Η παραλία έχει σκούρο σταχτί βότσαλο και είναι βραβευμένη με γαλάζιες σημαίες από την Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση. (el)
