Kristofer Marinus Schipper (23 October 1934 – 18 February 2021), also known as Rik Schipper and by his Chinese name Shi Zhouren (Chinese: 施舟人), was a Dutch sinologist. He was a professor of Oriental studies at Leiden University, appointed there in 1993. Schipper worked as researcher for École française d'Extrême-Orient and later taught as directeur de recherche in History of Daoism studies at the École pratique des hautes études in Paris. He was head of the Institut des Hautes Études Chinoises from the Collège de France. He also taught at Fuzhou University and Zhangzhou College. After his retirement he and his wife Yuan Bingling moved to Fuzhou (Fujian) in China.

Il a été chercheur à l'École française d'Extrême-Orient (EFEO) et directeur d'études à l'École pratique des hautes études. Il fut le directeur de l'Institut des Hautes Études Chinoises du Collège de France (1987-1992). Il a enseigné à l'université de Fuzhou et au Collège de Zhangzhou. À sa retraite, son épouse, le Dr Yuan Bingling, et lui se sont fixés à Fuzhou (Fujian) en Chine. In 1968 werd hij op Taiwan als eerste westerling bevestigd als taoïstische meester. Na zijn terugkeer in 1970 werd hij hoogleraar Chinese religies aan de École pratique des hautes études. In 1982 publiceerde hij Le corps taoïste, corps physique - corps social, waarmee hij bekend werd als kenner van de levende tradities en rituelen van het taoïsme en waarvoor hij in 1985 de van de Franse Academie ontving.
