Kuei Chih-Hung (桂治洪, aka Kwei Chi Hung, Gui Zhi-Hong, Gwai Chi-hung) (20 December 1937 – 1 October 1999) was a filmmaker who worked for the Hong Kong-based Shaw Brothers Studios, directing more than 40 films throughout the late 1960s, 1970s and early 1980s. Kuei found critical and commercial success working in a variety of genres, including the hard-boiled crime drama of The Teahouse (1974) and its sequel, Big Brother Cheng (1975), wuxia film Killer Constable (1981), (1975) and Hex (1980). Kuei often depicted the poverty of the public housing system, police corruption and colonial government rule.

(en) 桂治洪（英文：Kuei Chih Hung, 1937年12月20日－1999年10月1日），台灣及香港Cult片電影導演，1937年生於中國廣州，後來港就讀。中學畢業後遂赴台於台灣國立藝專修讀舞台導演。畢業後在台灣擔任電影動畫製作、副導及導演等工作，第一次當副導為潘壘導演的《情人石》，曾執導《》、《天公疼好人》等電影，並製作黑白動畫《武松打虎》。及後回港加盟邵氏影片公司，並於1965年獲派日本松竹片廠受訓。回港後多擔任井上梅次等日裔導演的副手。於1973年與導演張徹合導《憤怒青年》始受注目。隨後逐漸開拓其電影事業，在邵氏二十多年間拍了四十多部作品，較為人熟識的有《》、《成記茶樓》、《大哥成》、《邪》、《》、《萬人斬》。及後移民美國，並在當地開設薄餅店，於1999年因肝癌病逝。 (zh) Kuei Chih-Hung (en chinois 桂治洪, né le 20 décembre 1937 et mort le 1er octobre 1999) est un réalisateur et scénariste hongkongais connu pour ses films d'arts martiaux ou d'horreur. Il a beaucoup travaillé avec le studio Shaw Brothers. Il a réalisé une quarantaine de films entre les années 1960 et le début des années 1980. Kuei Chih-Hung ajoutait toujours un propos de fond à ses films et les utilisait parfois pour dénoncer la pauvreté des logements publics, la corruption policière et la politique du gouvernement colonial.
