- La ruota della fortuna è stato un celebre quiz televisivo italiano a premi, versione italiana del format statunitense Wheel of Fortune, in onda sull'emittente NBC. In Italia il format ha debuttato negli anni ottanta come gioco all'interno di alcuni contenitori di Canale 5, per poi diventare un programma autonomo su Odeon TV, in onda dal 19 ottobre 1987 al 25 giugno 1988 con la conduzione di Augusto Mondelli alias Casti. Ha però raggiunto la notorietà con Mike Bongiorno, che lo ha condotto per quattordici anni in varie edizioni, andate in onda prima su Canale 5, dal 5 marzo 1989 al 29 giugno 1996, e poi su Rete 4, dal 9 settembre 1996 al 20 dicembre 2003. Il programma è tornato in onda su Italia 1 per due stagioni, dal 10 dicembre 2007 al 19 giugno 2009 con la conduzione di Enrico Papi coad (it)

The show aired on Canale 5. From September 1987 to 1988, the show aired on Odeon TV. This version had the shopping element that the U.S. version, along with several other versions at the time, had.
