| - Las ocho regiones naturales del Perú es una tesis del geógrafo peruano Javier Pulgar Vidal formulada en 1938, que busca hacer una división sistemática del Perú en regiones naturales según las características del relieve principalmente, pisos altitudinales, datos del clima, flora y fauna. Así como también, se baso en nociones geográficas de las antiguas culturas de los Andes, que pasaron a entrar en desuso luego de la llegada de los españoles, debido a que estos impusieron su toponimia geográfica, limitando a las regiones en solo tres: Costa, sierra y selva.
