In 1987, Cage earned critical success with films such as the Coen brothers' Raising Arizona (1987) and John Patrick Shanley's Moonstruck (1987). He would star in David Lynch's Wild at Heart (1990) and the romantic comedy It Could Happen to You (1994) before earning an Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance in Leaving Las Vegas (1995).
